When I initially setup to capture the sunrise, with wildflowers in the foreground and waiting for the light to hit the mountains, the bison were far away. As time went by, they kept getting closer and closer, eventually ending up right in front of me. This bull ate all the wild flowers that i was using for my composition and just stood there. I quietly retreated to the safety of my truck with my remote shutter release and snapped some photos. Turned out be one of my favorite from the trip.
My favourite place on earth...well pretty close. The location is "Monument Valley" you may have seen it in many old western movies..the cowboys chargin down....yada yada. A glorious evening, warm and perfectly still. The dry brush looked like it was on fire...and the sand...perfectly lit amber. On a larger print, you can see tracks of bird and snake slithering across the sand...I left as i saw it...
